What is a zombie couple video?
A zombie couple video is a 15-second AI clip of two people: one has turned into a zombie, the other cannot shoot and drops the rifle, and the zombie leaps into their arms; then a hard cut to happy memories of the two of them. Every clip follows the same four beats as the ones in your feed.
- Beat 1
The turn
Cold blue-grey dusk in the scene you pick, from a cabin yard to a basement. Photo 1 aims a rifle. Photo 2 shuffles in as a zombie: grey skin, dark veins, clouded eyes. No blood, no gore.
- Beat 2
Can’t do it
Close-up. The survivor recognises who it is and the eyes fill. The rifle is never fired: it trembles, drops, and both arms spread wide.
- Beat 3
The leap
Still a zombie, stiff and jerky, it lunges into the open arms with its mouth open. The cut lands in that instant, before anything happens: the frame the whole trend cuts on.
- Beat 4
The memories
Hard match cut on the same leap into warm golden light and three happy memories, drawn fresh for every video: a spin on a beach at sunset, a slow dance at home, a road trip with the top down. Both human again, new outfits in every shot.

Photo tips
Which photos work best?
The video keeps whatever is in the two photos. Give it something clear.
One person per photo
Crop out everyone else. Group shots confuse who is who.
Clear, front-facing, even light
Window light works. No sunglasses, hats or masks; covered faces drift.
Head and shoulders
Half-body is ideal. Close crops lose the hair; wide shots lose the face.
Similar quality for both
If one photo is sharp and the other blurry, the blurry face drifts first. At least 800 px on the short side.
The trend
What is the zombie couple trend?
The zombie couple trend (also called the zombie AI trend, AI zombie hug or zombie love story AI) is a 12 to 15 second vertical clip: one person has turned into a zombie, the other aims a rifle but cannot pull the trigger, drops it, and runs into a hug. On the embrace, a hard match cut jumps to a warm, sunlit memory of the two of them.
It is widely credited to the Instagram creator @techmaf, whose AI short “CHOICE” was posted in mid-September 2026; a repost by @damienstraker on 26 September with the credit “Original idea: @techmaf” carried it into the English-speaking feed. Accounts of who was first differ.
By early October people were generating their own versions from two photos, and one TikTok original sound was attached to more than a thousand of them. A Zombie Couple video gives you the same shot list without writing a prompt or editing two clips together.
Keep it kind. Only use photos of adults who agreed to appear.

FAQ
Questions, answered
What is the zombie couple video trend?
It is a 12 to 15 second vertical AI video: one person has turned into a zombie, the other aims a rifle but cannot shoot, drops it and runs into a hug, then a hard match cut jumps to a warm, sunlit memory of the two of them. It took off on Instagram and TikTok in late September 2026. This site makes that clip from two photos.
How do I make a zombie couple video without writing a prompt?
Upload one photo of each person, tick the consent box and press Generate. The shot list, the match cut, the lighting and the sound are already written, so there is no prompt and no editing. The 15-second MP4 is usually ready in 3 to 5 minutes.
Can I make it with my partner if we do not have a photo together?
Yes. Two separate selfies work better than a photo together. Photo 1 is the survivor who stays human, Photo 2 is the one who turns into the zombie.
Is there a free way to make a zombie couple video?
No. There is no free tier: a video starts at $6.99, credits never expire, and if a render fails the credits go back to your balance automatically.
Why do zombie trend videos sometimes change our faces?
The zombie make-up, fast motion and the cut to a different light can all pull a face away from your real features. Clear, front-facing photos of one person each, in even light and similar quality, keep both faces closest. If a render is clearly wrong, tell us and we add a credit for a retake.
What song do people use for the zombie couple trend?
Most posts use a TikTok original sound that spread from late September 2026, added inside the app. Our video comes with its own ambient sound and piano; to use the trend sound, mute ours and pick the sound in TikTok or Reels when you post. We do not ship copyrighted music.
Is it gory?
No. The zombie look is pale grey skin, dark veins and clouded eyes. No blood, no wounds, no biting, and the rifle is never fired.
Will the video have a watermark?
No. You get a clean MP4 in the aspect ratio you picked. Please label it as AI-generated where the platform asks.
What happens to our photos?
They are used only to make your video and deleted 7 days after the render. We never train models on them.
Can I upload photos of other people?
Only adults (18+) who agreed to appear. No public figures, no minors.
